This is a piece I'm submitting to a local b/w zine. The theme of this second issue is 'Hate.' The first issue was 'Love.'
The top element is an older illustration that I've been pushing along as I feel like it. The bottom is painted out of black directly in Photoshop. I might tweak the eyes a little yet--I don't think they say 'hate' as well as they could.

It is amazing how disturbing the two themes are when composed together like this, even though hate has very little real estate in the piece. It almost feels like a nightmare for all the right reasons. great stuff!
